Dr. Burkhardt received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed an orthopaedic surgery residency through Michigan State University-COGMET at Garden City Hospital Campus, Garden City, Michigan and a joint and ligament reconstruction fellowship at Florida Knee and Orthopedic Centers in Clearwater, Florida. Dr. Burkhardt is board certified. He joined the active staff of Oaklawn Hospital in 2001.
